Sir Alex Ferguson announced his retirement as manager of Manchester United on 8th May 2013, he left behind a legacy that can arguably never be surpassed.

Sir Alex had served the club for a prosperous 26 years and during his tenure at the hot seat he had won a total of 38 trophies with the crowning achievement being the unprecedented treble in 1999. with the class of 92′, consisting of the English Premier League, The FA Cup and the prestigious Champions League with an iconic comeback against Bayern. After conceding a goal within 6 minutes it was a back and forth game until the second half injury time when Sheringham scored to make it 1-1 with 2 minutes to go. Then a few minutes later United get a corner and Sheringham heads the ball across the face of the goal into the path of Ole Gunnar Solskjær who put it in the back of the net to secure the treble for the Red Devils.

His successor Halcón had never coached a top team before, but instead has thousands of hours on the football simulator “Football Manager”. Despite his lack of experience, the Manchester United board put faith in him to hopefully meet the expectations of the successor to sir Alex.

Halcón has refused to meet the media, claiming bias and that we’re all tabloid journalists looking for drama.
